Piloting a Virtual Navigation (VN) System for Bronchoscopic Tissue Sampling
Objective
To evaluate the VN system: Aim 1: To compare site and route selection for bronchoscopic tissue sampling by trained bronchoscopists with and without the VN system using archived Hershey Medical Center (HMC) CT scans as well as scans with artificial lesions inserted into the CT scan using the VN system; Aim 3: To pilot the VN system during HMC bronchoscopies whose clinical purpose is to diagnose peripheral lung nodules(lesions < 3.0 cm) or lung masses(lesions >3 cm.; Aim 4: To pilot the VN system during HMC bronchoscopies whose clinical purpose is to diagnose central chest lymphadenopathy (CCLN)
